      About Ecto-TX

      Based on the 2021 Ghostbusters movie car in "Afterlife", this replica car has been converted with the details in mind. Originally a Hearse/Ambulance combo, EctoTX is built from an original 1959 Cadillac, Miller Meteor, just like the Ghostbusters car in the original Ghostbuster movies. After being rescued from 49-years of barn storage, Ecto-TX has been going through its Ghostbusters Ecto1 conversion here in Dallas since found in 2020. Accuracy is our goal and we source movie-accurate parts & accessories wherever possible.  


      Our latest project is fabricating and installing the reverse "Suicide door" and the "Gunner's Seat"! Follow our progress on our social media accounts or HERE.

      The Gunner's Seat

      Extending from the passenger rear door, the addition of the Gunner Seat in Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Added an exciting and fun new aspect to the Ecto1. We found reversing the original door to swing backward safely and reliably has come with many unexpected challenges. The door is so heavy. But it is working correctly now. Now the seat is mounted and functional. Needs some minor Adjustments. But isn't it AWESOME! Check it out HERE!
